Summary:The Doctor was once just the man who ran away from home to see the universe. But he's become so much more than that since the War.
Written for dw-remix. A combined remix of Atrogirl's stories: Home Is the Place That's There for You to Leave, Survivor, Veteran, and The Weather in Your Eyes, because all were so amazing it was too hard to just choose one. Thank you to [livejournal.com profile] morganfm for the beta.

His young eyes survey this unchosen birthplanet as he prepares to run away, weary of the rules and regulations, disillusioned with neglected power of his people. The stars themselves now summon, beckoning him away from this prison he'd once called home. And when Susan asks where they and his quite old new ship shall go, he replies anywhere, meaning everywhere, giddy with the possibilities.

Perhaps, he hopes,

Summary: The Ponds learn why the Doctor needs them in his life even when they're learning to live with him less in theirs.

It had been several months since Rory and Amy had seen the Doctor. It was as though he was staying away from them, each visit coming months and months after the previous one.

A/N- I wanted to do a River/ Grandparent Ponds story, but it grew way out of proportion and will have to be split up in so many different parts. So, here's part one of these types of stories- the Ponds find out. As always, reviews highly appreciated. Enjoy!

"So Amelia, I take it you two weren't really in Thailand all that time, were you?" asked Tabetha

A/N- I keep having ideas for River/ Doctor stories, so I decided to make a separate series from the Pond ones for them.  These "shippy" ones will be under the tag "Mr. Song & Mrs. Smith."

Not really sure where this came from, but I like it. Doctor/ River fluff. Explains why River met the Doctor in the Impossible Astronaut, other than the obvious. A little out there when I got to the analogy, but I like where it ended up.

Disclaimer: I know little to nothing about minerals or fish- so I made it alien which fixes everything. I only own the idea, not the characters, which belong to Steven Moffat and the BBC. Please review.

After he left her parents back on Earth, it was not uncommon for the Doctor to seek out River for their own private adventures. They travelled the stars, the Doctor and his new Song, always running, always fighting, nearly always together. Then the time came when they met up yet again, where the Doctor finally realized the inevitable.

A/N- This idea and then the writing of this story had me in tears, and I thought it only fair you share my pain.  I blame Moffat.  Please review.

All the lights were off in the once cheery TARDIS blue- doored house.  The Doctor half- sonicked the lock, then roughly finished opening the door as he jammed his way violently into the front foyer.  He looked around, all the happy memories still framed on the walls, prized belongings shelved for all the world to see.  As if memories brought happiness. A/N- In honor of the anniversary, here’s my take on the TARDIS in the Time War.  The File number was also chosen to commemorate the date- not the amount thus far produced.  Written pre- 50th but post “Night of the Doctor.  Due to the nature of the war and the confusion I’m trying to convey, the verb changes are intentional.  The tense changes are used to convey a TARDIS mindset.  Based on Nine’s declaration that he survived the war “not by choice.”  Please let me know what you think.

She saw sees will always see the Great War.  She fights fought will always fight alongside her sisters, her thief as he yields to the call of his people, fighting, killing, deceiving, plotting until he no longer, will ever, can now resemble the man she once stole.  Neither is she the same one who stole had stolen did steal him. A/N- An introspection- Part 1 of River from Time of the Angels.  All quotes property of Steven Moffat and the BBC.  Please Review.

A/N- I just needed some Doctor/ River fluff-  so not especially Amy/Rory/ River Pondy.  Also, who else loved the 50th?  Everyone?! Good- because it was brilliant and amazing, and I loved it and it was funny and emotional and I just needed to share my feelings, so now I’m done with wasting your time on this author’s note.

A/N- We had fun with a little humor, but now here's a little angst. Here is my Post- Manhattan Pond tribute. For this reason, I only used moments from the show.

It had only been two weeks for him. Three weeks since he'd sent his son and daughter- in law off to live a life of adventure. Two weeks exactly since Anthony had arrived with a letter explaining they would never return to him. Two weeks since he'd also taken the Ponds their letter from Amy and together the four of them had grieved and rejoiced in the news of their children. Two weeks of trying to put on a brave face for his friends and in- laws. But now it was time to try to move forward.

A/N: I decided if I was going to properly going to continue this, I would have to give a name to another character, and since certain things are rather vague in the series, I’m going to say this is slightly AU, or at least acknowledge that I took several liberties with situations.

Angst. Definitely.

He allowed himself three days, every century.  Just three days to remember them, just so they would never be lost to the universe.  Once every 100 years, he would take out that music box from oh- so long ago, ask the TARDIS for those semi- solid holograms, and would lose himself to dancing.
